Meet Pastor Rick & Cheryl
Rick is our pastor. Rick and his wife, Cheryl, moved to Perry on Feb. 1, 2004 to help establish and launch a new church which became Crossroads Church. Rick and Cheryl are committed to sharing the love of Christ with the community through teaching, leading, setting an example and serving others. They strive to live out faith in their everyday life.
Cheryl's a dental assistant at Perry Family Dentistry in addition to having her own business, "Shuffle Designs Studios." Cheryl loves and serves people through her business. Her creative gifts allow her to bless others in the areas of interior design, home & business staging, custom painting and custom, hand-drawn cards and prints.
Rick graduated from Taylor University in 1982 with a Bachelor or Arts in Psychology, and from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas in 1986 with a Maters of Divinity.
Rick served as an associate pastor in Michigan for 7 years, and then moved to Chicago. In Chicago, Rick was the pastor of an existing church for 7 years, and then planted a new church. Five years later God called Rick and Cheryl to Perry, Iowa to help start Crossroads Church. Rick hopes to spend the rest of his life serving the Lord here in Perry, but as he says, "That's up to God!"
